The SPIRRA was developed with performance squarely in mind. This is evident in numerous aspects of the car such as the compact dimensions, lightweight yet stiff carbon fiber body and the rear mid mounted engine layout. In order to verify the effectiveness of this design, it was soon realized that the SPIRRA will have to participate in a race. Prototype SPIRRAs were unleashed on the track to verify the car’s systems and from there on, improve it’s pace to reveal it’s true potential.
Oullim Racing Team Record
At GT Masters, the SPIRRA successfully completed 50 Laps running on a 350hp setting. Even as a prototype, the SPIRRA beat out more thoroughly race engineered Porsche 911 GT3 RSRs, BMW M3s, Nissan 350Z etc. The SPIRRA simply dominated the 2008 season and was retired to focus developing the production version with the experience gained from racing.
